New Catholic Church

If this were the case, I think I'd make it to Mass a bit more often. Amen Brother!!

Not a memorable memorial day

It hasn't really been an exciting Memorial day here.

I took Friday off from work to make a nice four day weekend. Yesterday I did yard work, gymed it, then had some beers and watched a movie.

Today, well, I did some yard work, gymed it, and tonight, well, I'm gonna watch Munich and drink some beers. All this work on my yard and it's still not looking that great.

The weather finally has been beautiful, but there's nothin' goin on. I'm kinda getting depressed. Tomorrow, if I'm still in the same funk, I'm just gonna hop in the truck and head down to the shore, just for something kinda summer like.

I'll put up some photos of the yard as soon as I figure out this flickr thing

alligator sunburn

Did ya know certian rare breads of alligators can get sunburn?

my lawn sucks

I can't even guess how much time I spent on my lawn, and it still looks like crap. My neighbors are retired, and have nothing but spare time to spend on cultivating their lawns, and they all look like fairways, except one.

My neighbor to my left does literally nothing to his lawn. It's a lawn of weeds which seem to pollinate to my yard. the side of my yard nearest his is crap. the other side is pristine. the dude to the left has freakin vines that grow through my rhododendrons (yeah, hadda spell check that bad boy), and is killing it. I've spent countless hours trying to kill, pull, prune these freakin weeds. Damn you. Anyway, it is the kick off to summer, so no complaints (other then this rant).

Building my ark

Well, after what seems like 40 days, the rain has finally stopped. We got a lot of rain, but are better off then the folks further north.

I got outta work today, ran to the gym, then came home and mowed the lawn. It was so long it was going to seed. At least it's green. Don't get me wrong, I actually like the ran, love sleeping with the rain hitting the roof, and actually like golfing in a light rain. I figure I'd be perfect for Wash. State, and loved my trips to Ireland, but, damn, I was starting to get freakin' depressed.

Cinco de Mayo

I went to a Cinco de Mayo party last night, and well, drank a ton of cervesa of course. All was going well. Food was good, good conversation, mix of crowd. I knew most people, but met some new. The weather was nice, so we kinda moved the party outside.

I was having a blast until, my old Bad Date, showed up. I was on my best behavior despite already having a good 6 beers in me. I made some polite small talk, was harassed a bit about still being in a dead end job, etc, but I took it, smiled, and just walked away. I'm actually kinda proud of myself. It would have done no good to show it bothered me.

Anyway, the party was good. I ate some weird mexican stew shit that cleared my sinuses for awhile. I wish I had some now. I'm heading to the gym to work off some of the beer, and I can't breath. Shoud make for a good workout.
